Medical Patients needing support

Che Che is 18 years old and had a benign tumour in his lower jaw. His operation have been done and thanks to our doners we managed to pay everything. They removed his lower jaw and replaced the bone with bone from his leg. He has no ID and no family here in Thailand. The cost of this operation was in total 133,000 THB.

Wandee is 47 years old and was diagnosed with cancer of the throat. She has lived in Thailand for 20 years but has no ID and therefore is not entitled to healthcare. She has undergone removal of her tongue and is now receiving radiotherapy at a hospital in Bangkok and she is doing really well. So far the costs have reached 200,000 THB which has been raised by generous sponsors living all over the world.




Blind lady will need to have a referral letter so she can be seen in Bangkok as they believe she can have her sight back.








Echiwa is 5 years old and has Thalasaemia. This means that he becomes severly anemic and has no energy. He currently receives blood transfusions every 10-14 days to restore his energy. This costs approximately 5000 THB each time he goes to hospital. We would like to have a referral for him to attend a hospital in Bangkok where they may be able to offer him better
treatment. We are unsure of the possible costs involved but as soon as the initial assessment has been completed we will let you know.




Samson is 27 years old. He has been living with a dislocated hip all his life and walks with a bad limp. He has severe pain in his hip on a daily basis. He is the leader for the Home for students and has never asked to see a doctor. The volunteer nurse working for connect for the past 3 years has insisted that he was seen. The costs will be approximately 100,000 THB (this is a guess as they are waiting for a number)

Naw Mee Ngae is 46 yrs old. She has five children. Two of them and her husband are here in Thailand with her. She has cancer of the uterus and has been told that they can operate in October as she is stage 3 already. The expected costs are approximately 30,000 THB. 











Peepay is 3 months old and was born to a young mother. She had no support with breast feeding and struggled so she put the baby on to milk bought from a shop. The only milk available in her budget is the sweetened condensed milk that costs 20b per week. The baby had a very bad allergic reaction to this as no infant should have cows milk under 6 months old. His skin was raw and looked like it was peeling off. We supplied cream for his skin and bought baby powdered milk and showed the mother how to make up the milk correctly. The cost of this milk is roughly 1000 THB per month.
